I have more dolls but these are the newest ones I wanted. I am so happy with them. I got them from family ordered from Minatures.com (HBS) Hobby Builders Supply. I can't wait to use them I will repost all my peeps I have collected soon. I recieved the cabinet, broom and placemats from my RL group gift exchange. I hope everyone has a safe, healthy and blessed new year of 2011!
Here's the beginning of my foam core box..it's still in the rough. I copied the dimentions off from an anniversary box my friend and I worked on. I made it just a bit shorter.I am thinking of making this into a "Christmas Gift" type box with a pretty bow on top. I have to cover the out side with somethng like fabric and see if i can get a plexiglass cover for the front.I have a few ideas churning around but not sure yet..stay tuned. Update: Now go see Dec 11, 2013 posting and what I did with this box!
Starting carefully at the top, use a craft knife to split the skewer, checking that the split is centered. Cut down and push to split it until you get almost to the bottom.
Leave a small section uncut, about 1".
Cut 2 tiny pieces for the "hand" part, about 3/8 ".
Using tweezers, dip the ends in glue. Open the split and glue between where the hands should go..(1 1/8 inches from the top). Let dry a bit.
Use a small rubber band at the top to squeeze the top splits so they bend slightly inward for the arm cushions.
Add air dry clay to make the cushions for the arm pit and the bottom tips. Let dry with the rubber band on it for a day. Make sure it is thoroughly dry. Remove the rubber band.
Paint the tips and the arm rests to resemble rubber. Wind white thread as shown at the end of the split.
I made most everything in here. The sink is purchased. The Washer & dryer are printables from Jim's site. They are done on photo paper and I added "insides" to it and made openings. Added some beads brads for knobs on the machine control and wooden handles painted black. Clothes hanging from thrift store. I made the water heater from TP Roll(a tip from a group friend Janet Whittig.),cut down to about 4 inches wrap it afew times with freezer paper. Inside are glued caps from bottle that you can't see for stability then I added a flat milk lid for the bottom in blue and a wooden circle on top, drilled holes for the pipes and 2 tiny thin straws painted "brass." brown paint and a little oak stain mixed. I added the printies to it from heaters I found on line. I used an earring back for a faucet at the bottom and a tiny block of wood sanded on the back to fit on the "roundedness" of the heater. I made all the things in the blue shelf cabinet with printies I made from graphics on line. The shelf with the pitchers on top I got from allabout.com /Leslie Shepherd. I made the mop, swiffer and dust pan (it's a graphic from on line) the laundry signs I found on line as well and some are printies like Tide on the white shelf and Spic & Span I got from my group. I made the ironing board in my RL group. The spay starch is a printie, iron is purchased, shirt I made. The rug in front of the W&D is a graphic as well. Sink is purchased, basket with laundry & tide and all the hangers are purchased also. The wallpaper is scrapbook paper is from Joanne's,The flooring tile is from a large single piece from the True Valu. The blue cabinet and white shelf are both from the same bashed Michael's hutch. The shelf on the left side is purchased I added a pole to hang the clothes on. I made the plant from the Dollar Tree store and pot is purchased. Trash can is a thimble from DT store and filled with real lint from my dryer! I have a "dryer sheet" showing in the dryer but can barely see it.I guess I have to move it to see it. The cat box is a jelly container filled with sand & glued I even put tiny clay "poop" in the litter box LOL. I think I mentioned everything...
Your choice a set of 3 pieces of luggage I made in brown or black.

I am so excited I am leaving in the morninig for a great time in Buffalo NY. I will be meeting new and old friends from my online mini groups and my good friend Cheryl, my daughter Kim and 2 grand kids Anna and Stephanine will all be going! I will post pics of my stash!
Well I had a gift card of $30..00 where is it? and there is a 50% off coupon this time at Joanne's fabrics..could NOT find it ANY WHERE! I looked for 2 days. I looked and looked dumped my purse 3 x..searched my wallet, throughly , my car ,every pocket in my jackets, jeans etc..nothing. I prayed and prayed and prayed then thought ok I was careless and dropped it or left it somehwere in the store. So on with life.. changing the closets for fall and put aside somethings. "Oh I need this fanny pack for the miniature dollhouse show this weekend"...what's that hard thing in there?" I thought (it sorta feels like a gift card..why would I put one in here? no can't be..) "YES!!! thank you Jesus" I have NO memory of putting in in there at all! I know I lost mind mind too but really I will find that one day too LOL Thank you Lord Jesus for your faithfulness to guide me when I don't have a clue! Your caring heart in the smallest things that matter to me! BTW the sale is still on!! Happy dance of praise to Him!!

See more pictures of the beach on a new post.
(photo from ebay) I am collecting the sets. I have The Mad Hatter so far. I need Alice to go with him. you can buy theses for $1.00 just ask them you may have to hunt the different stores weekly or daily for them. ** Well now they are charging more for the dolls with out a meal purchase..about $1.79 now bummer! I now have Hensel & Gretel, Prince Chaming and Cinderlla. Just a 3 more to go.
I tried cutting some wood samples with popsicle sticks and this works so easy and cuts clean up to 1/2 inch. The Utimate Cutter comes with the angle guide and lets you cut 45, 60, 75, 90, 120 & 135 degree angels. I purchased it at Hobby Lobby. The regular sticker price is $27.99 with a 40% off coupon for under $20.00. I have been wanting one for a long time. I have some work to do now LOL
My friend Cheryl and I made these mini toasters from a fellow bloggers instructions, but Cheryl used balas wood instead and carved her slots out. Go to her blog here http://minicrochetmad.blogspot.com/2010/07/toast-anyone.html
I was in Flordia last week and went to Ron's Miniature store. I bought just a few things but love the store..it's very overwhelming if you have only a short time to stay. It's an awesome place! I will post pictures later.
My first bashed hutch. It had two doors on it and a diiffeent topper . I broke it off and replaced it with another one and moved it from the front to the back for more space. This one is mine. I also did the table and chairs. (painted and stained) This is our the group hutches all together. They are all different as we are. This was so much fun I plan on making more! click pic to see it bigger for more details.
Thought for today! God created miniatures!
Remember I said that God is in to details? My thoughts today were that God is into miniatures.. Big time! Yes! He created us tiny beings with great detail and love! He did it from the dust..from clay. How many of us love to work with clay and make lifelike minis? The more it looks life like the more joy we take in our handmade creations! I am just learning this clay stuff and I take great pleasure in it when what I make comes out really good. I feel disappointed when it doesn't. Do you know how much pleasure God takes in YOU His creation?
Think about it.. we are breathing, moving creations of clay breathed on by His own breath and became flesh but we are really much more than that, we are all one of a kind. (OOAK) Handmade and by God himself. You are very special to God! he has put His name on you signed "made by God with eternal love"
It's only through Jesus His Son that He will remake us into His likeness.
You see the clay has been marred by sin and we need Him to refashion us back into the vessel we are supposed to be. Forgiven and washed clean to do His will.
God is so Good!
This is my third project. A gift for my Secret Sister Vicky at my church. She does beautiful quilting. I asked her for quilt scraps not knowing what I was up to. I used them in the scene. She said I was the "Bomb!! " Just loved her gift at the revealing of the secret sisters. Vicky was healed from stage 4 cancer instantly after being prayed for at one Sunday Service a few years ago. She is well and doing wonderful. Glory to God! He is the God of miracles!
I am a born again Christian.
I love the Lord Jesus and grateful that He loves me and saved me 37 years ago. I am active in my church and have been married to a wondeful caring man for 47 years! God has blessed me with a wonderful family- a son and a daughter both married serving the Lord and now 7 lovely grandkids. God is good!
